St Oswald, Winwick runs a number of groups to engage with the local community.
St Oswald’s Church Choir
The Church Choir is a four-part choir consisting of around 30 members. We rehearse on Fridays 7-8pm in either the Church or the Church Hall.
We have a wide repertoire of music spreading from the 16th Century to more contemporary composers. We sing an Introit and Anthem for each service as well as settings for Choral Evensong, Hymns and Psalms.
We sing for the weekly Sunday morning 10am Eucharist and monthly Choral Evensong at 6.30pm. In addition we sing at major Festivals and Holy Days and are available to hire for Weddings.
The Choir is open to all (from age 7 upwards). New members are always welcome. No audition is required but good attendance and commitment is appreciated.
